About Island Life at Home

Located in the charming seaside village of Langley, WA, on Whidbey Island, Island Life at Home is popular among locals and visitors alike. Offering unique finds, summer cabin requisites, and affordable indulgences, Island Life at Home celebrates the slower-paced island ways.

Besides being a retail outlet, the Langley shop functions as owner Linda Walsh's laboratory, where ideas cross-pollinate and become the products you find for sale on these pages, such as the Island Life Body Care Collection, the fragrant Island Teas.

It's also where Linda and shop manager Heather are able to connect with customers in person, learning from them about their tastes, ideas and attitudes. This personal connection is the foundation stone upon which Island LIfe at Home rests.

Store hours

The Langley store is open 7 days a week 10-6 (Sundays 11-5), and by appointment. However, Nov. through Feb. we are closed Tuesdays. Online, we are open 24/7.

Directions

From Seattle, take I-5 North to Exit 189, and follow signs to the Whidbey Island/Mukilteo Ferry. From the ferry travel 2.6 miles on Highway 525 to Langley Road (just after Ken's Korner Shopping Plaza). Turn right on Langley Road, and go 3.3 miles to Langley. Bear left at First Street. Island Life at Home is on the water side of the street.

From the north, take I-5 South to Exit 230, and follow signs to Deception Pass Bridge. Cross the bridge to Whidbey Island. Drive down the Island on Highway 20, which then becomes Highway 525. Turn left at Coles Road and go 2.5 miles. Bear right onto 3rd Street. Turn left onto Anthes, then right at 1st Street. Island Life at Home is on the water side of the street.

At our Langley store we accept cash, checks, Visa and Master Card.

About Linda Walsh

Washington State native Linda Walsh grew up on the stunning shores of Puget Sound — and in the culturally rich urban Tehran of the 70s. Her travels since childhood have led her to nose around the flea markets of Paris, drink in the high-tone boutiques of New York City, and vacation along welcoming Polynesian shores with her family. Island life, wherever it is found, dominates her imagination and inspires her designs.

Linda's encompassing sensibility, gentle nature, and unerring eye are the foundation of Island Life at Home, a brick-and-mortar store in scenic Langley, Washington and online store which offers products which celebrate the casual grace, tactile ways, and sometimes transporting wonder of life at the water's edge. Most of the products offered at Island life are made by local artists and small businesses, and it is a deep pleasure to contribute to their success and wellbeing as we build our own.
